So we did this high- tech experiment last week.

The aim of it was to find whether or not leaves need carbon dioxide for photosynthesis.

First we took a leaf from our sunflowers(poor them!:-( ) and stuck blu-tack onto their corners.

The vendor, Miss Wendy, helped us to put the leaf into a transparent plastic bottle.

We set the time on our datalogger to 30 minutes

One of us then gently blew into the bottle and another stuffed the c02 gas sensor into the neck of the bottle.

While we waited, Justin went to look at the frogs while the rest of us took candid photos.

The results were GoOd.

Miss Tan even said our experiment was most accurate!><

At first the green line slanted upwards but it steadily slanted down.

I think it meant that the level of carbon dioxide was decreasing.

I don't know how to 'look' at it but miss Tan said it was good.

I wonder why?o.0

We have observed that the rose and carnation had turned blue and green. The carnation had lesser colour than the rose. The blue was darker than the green. The green was found in the inner part of the carnation. The rose turned half green half blue. The carnation was faintly blue. This happened to be our hypothesis. However, the carnation was quite disappointing. It broke twice and it was not colourful enough. In OUR opinion(Teamwork!!!><)we think that the flowers were competing for water, so the carnation "lost" and the rose "won" Our sunflowers are growing fast and they look like they're about to BlOoM. YAY.
